In a few words, psychotherapy aims to help up us re-discover our birth-right: a zest for life and relationship.
In my practice, we work together to uncover whatever might be getting in the way of this aliveness. This might be chronic stress, depression or a lifetime's buried anger. Or it might be that a thread of meaning is missing, or possibly has always been missing.
In a safe a secure environment, we explore together. And slowly, the feeling of safety and of truly being heard - perhaps for the first time in your life - may allow you to begin to open up to this birth-right.
In this work, we may also include other non-verbal ways of engaging with your experience such as art therapy and biodynamic psychotherapy.
Counselling and psychotherapy may be beneficial for one or more of the following concerns:
- If you are feeling, depressed, anxious or confused
- If you are suffering from stress
- If you are suffering from the effects of relationship difficulties or break-ups
- If you are facing loss (such as bereavement or life-change)
- If you are afflicted with somatic problems (chronic illness, non-specific aches and pains, insomnia)
- If you are questioning life existentially (perhaps needing to find new meaning)
